"DEEP IN THOUGHT"
Made from armature supported acrylic concrete this gorilla is inspired by Harambe (RIP). His story will touch my heart forever.
The wings are made from aluminum so you will always have that shinny contrast as nature creates it's own natural patina. When you first receive your dragon fly it will only have a partial rust and will develop its full color over several months. One of my most popular sculptures.
This eagle is made from heavy gauge steel and aluminum. Designed for outside/inside the steel will patina darker than the aluminum giving a lifetime of the color contrast seen in an adult bald eagle. These eagles take 200 to 300 hrs to create depending on material used and the pose of the eagle. Eagles are also available in bronze for $15,000 to $50,000.
Call for information. Any room can be made from fairy land to caves.
Bronze Friesian Horse about 3 feet long stands about 28 inches. Made from museum quality bronze.
The eyes are lenses from a traffic signal. This sculpture was on sculpture tour for 4 years when it was out west someone shot him in the eye. Kind of a battle scar. The lens can be replaced if you want.
The female tests the males strength by locking claws at a high elevation. If the male is strong enough they land in a tree and mate.

Each student makes a clay sculpture and then we go thru all the process to turn it into bronze. This includes making the rubber mold, plaster mother mold, pouring the wax, making the ceramic mold pouring the bronze, grinding and finishing the bronze, and finally patina and seal. Cost of material is extra.
The student starts with design. The wood templates are made. Using the templates steel is cut and then welded together. Cost of material is extra.
This is a more conventional class. If you like realism I show you how I keep it real. Using techniques that I use for my commissions I will show you how to make an armature that will almost guaranty you a nice looking horse. Yes we start with a horse but I will show how this technique works with any animal person or thing. Cost of material is included,
We start with design showing undercuts then you will learn how to make a master sculpture followed by a silicone mold and a concrete pour. Cost of material is extra.
Using a seaweed alginate with a plaster back I will show you how to do body molding from there a plaster master is made. If the student wishes we can proceed from there to turn the master into bronze. Material cost is extra.
My grandparents started me at 5 making art. They were both fine artist. I loved it but also love Engineering. I did both for many years but 8 years ago I retired from Engineering to do Art full time. I was lucky. Mayo Clinic saw my work two weeks after I retired and kept me busy for several years.
I gave a lecture at the National Eagle Center several years ago on how I make my full size eagles. I do many, many things besides eagles but for some reason I just think they are cool. The one in the picture watched me the whole time during the 2 day demo. Not once did he smile. He just stood there being cool.
